This is the last installment in the “10 Secrets for Stunning Nature Photos” video series, and it’s dedicated to some of the most common nature photography errors — and easy ways to avoid them! Seriously, why bother making the mistakes if you don’t have to?
This video series was a byproduct of an opportunity I had last winter to spend a week as an artist in residence at Waubonsie State Park in southeast Iowa. It’s an absolutely lovely park, full of sprawling Loess Hills majesty to refresh the mind and stimulate the creativity, and I’m super excited to announce that they’ve given me to opportunity to return for another residency this winter. Come February, I’ll be hanging my shingle there for another 10 days alone with natural beauty and a camera!
If you have an opportunity, take a day and explore the park’s hiking trails with your camera, and maybe you can use this video to avoid some photographic mistakes on your walk.
