Thanksgiving is one day to focus on what we’ve been given, calling out our blessings that on other days we don’t take the time to name: family, friends, health, wealth. In a way, counting blessings is also what this blog has been about. Since the beginning of the summer, I’ve taken real joy in calling out the floral and grassy and shrubby gifts along the side of the road: elderberry, red clover, foxtail, milkweed.
So today’s post is an open prayer of thanks to God for his amazing creation, and a wish for all of us to devote today to enjoying the gifts we’ve been given. Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
